Douglas Cumming, DeSantis Distinguished Professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship at Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business, was the recipient of the 2022 “World Class Faculty Award” by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Education Award Committee.
His research on equity crowdfunding was the first of its kind in the world and his research on board gender diversity and securities fraud was one of the main papers cited as influencing NASDAQ’s 2021 board diversity rule.
